ABOUT — OCTO INC.

We've spent half a century arriving at this law

Octoberus is not a consultancy that discovered privacy last year. It's the data protection unit of Octo Inc., a Chilean engineering company that has spent a decade connecting sensors, systems and people — and that descends from the boldest cybernetic tradition this country has ever had.

Timeline

From the 1971 control room to yours.

1971

Chilean engineers build Cybersyn: the world’s first system to manage an economy with real-time data. With theory by Fernando Flores and Humberto Maturana, it is today a global case study in data governance.

2014

Octopull is born in Santiago, a declared heir of that tradition: coordinating people, systems, sensors and unmanned vehicles through a chat. It goes through Founders Space (San Francisco) and works with UC Berkeley.

2019

Octo Inc. consolidates its brand architecture: industrial integration (Octopull), cloud-based physical security (Octoberus), custom software and AI applications.

2024

Law 21,719 is published. Chile catches up on data governance once again — this time, the data of its people.

2026

Octoberus extends its mandate: from protecting facilities to protecting data. Same engineering discipline, new front.

How we work

Engineers and lawyers in the same room.

ENGINEERING

The same team that builds industrial platforms for energy and mining builds the compliance tooling: data mapping, auditable evidence, AI automation.

LAW

We work in partnership with a law firm specialized in data protection. Every legal deliverable is reviewed and signed by lawyers.

LOCAL

Offices in Santiago and Vancouver. Our clients' compliance evidence is hosted on local infrastructure: your data doesn't cross borders to be protected.

Let's talk about your case.
